Why Becoming Her Requires Courage

Entry Two
Becoming the woman God created you to be sounds beautiful.
And it is.
But what most people don’t talk about is how much courage it actually requires.
Because becoming her often means leaving behind the version of yourself that once felt safe.
The version that stayed quiet to keep the peace.
The version that tolerated what she knew she deserved better than.
The version that tried to carry everything on her own.
Courage is required because growth asks you to confront the parts of your life that are no longer aligned.
The habits that keep you small.
The environments that drain your spirit.
The beliefs you once carried about your worth.
Sometimes courage looks loud.
But more often, courage is quiet.
It looks like choosing peace over chaos.
It looks like trusting God when you cannot see the whole path ahead.
It looks like showing up differently even when it feels unfamiliar.
Becoming her will stretch you.
It will ask you to grow in ways you didn’t expect.
You may lose things that once felt permanent.
You may outgrow spaces you once thought you belonged in.
But growth is never about loss.
It’s about alignment.
God cannot elevate what we refuse to release.
He cannot guide us forward if we keep holding tightly to the past.
Courage is not the absence of fear.
Courage is choosing to move forward anyway.
Trusting that God sees what you cannot yet see.
Trusting that the discomfort of growth is not punishment — it is preparation.
Preparation for the woman you are becoming.
Preparation for the life that will require a stronger, wiser, more grounded version of you.
And one day you will look back at the decisions that once felt terrifying…
and realise they were the very moments that changed everything.
Because courage opened the door.
And faith gave you the strength to walk through it.
